Baroness Flather has very kindly invited members and friends of The Women’s Council to a Diamond Jubilee Tea Party in the Cholmondeley Room, House of Lords. 3:30-5pm. Admission is by ticket only (£30) and names of guests are necessary for security reasons before 4 June 2012. Contact The Women’s Council for an application form.
Wednesday 30th May
The Women’s Council (co-operating with Women of Asia and Asia Pacific): Dickens Exhibition, London Museum. You and your friends are invited to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens in the first major UK exhibition for over 40 years. 2pm, tickets £7 per person – please contact The Women’s Council for an application form and book before Wednesday 23rd May.
Sunday 23rd September
Pan Asian Women’s Association: 5km Walk, Sunday in the Park with PAWA. Join us for a fun day in Regent’s Park while raising money for teenage girls education in Asia. One of PAWA’s aims is to raise funds annually for selected grass root charities which directly benefit girls education in Asia. The walk will start at 10am and end with a picnic in the park. - FIWAL’s printed publication, International Dateline, is produced and distributed three times per year. As well as containing information about past events and news from our members it provides a list of forthcoming events. You can obtain a printed copy by contacting your club’s FIWAL delegate, or find it here. Note that personal contact information may be removed from issues available online through this site.
